I pulled the rest of the peas in the garden yesterday. It has been fun walking out of the shop & picking a few fresh peas. So sweet and fresh.
When I was young my Grandfather Fletcher would tell us that if we were stealing peas we needed to eat the pods too, yuck. We believed him for a while, he had a great sense of humour.
Each time I walked down the rows it was a reminder of Dad. You could see him walk through it everyday. He enjoyed his garden so much and people watched for how fast & wonderfully it grew. I am afraid there are more weeds in mine than were in his. The pumpkins are growing like crazy and the sunflowers smile at me every time I go to the garden.
It’s funny how sights and smells remind me of great memories. How about you? Love ya, Karen
